Band & String Instrument Rental Program!
The National Educational Music Company or N.E.M.C. for short, is the largest band and string instrument lease to own program in the United States. With over 500 affiliates across the country, it offers the most convenient and affordable way for parents to provide their child with a quality band or string instrument.
The N.E.M.C. Program at Shearer's Music Center offers an initial 3 month trial period for a total of $31.80 for most instruments--Saxophones at $53.00. This initial fee covers everything for the first three months. Parents and teachers will know in that amount of time whether or not the student is interested in continuing with the instrument they have selected. Parents, with children who are interested in continuing with their instrument the fourth month, will be sent a packet from N.E.M.C. with month to month payment instructions. If the instrument you are leasing started at $30.00, your monthly payments will be set at $21.20 per month--Saxophones at $42.40. The number of months you pay will be determined by the cost of the instrument at the time it was initially leased. Monthly payments normally run somewhere between 26 and 43 months.
Our N.E.M.C. Program also allows the child to change instruments the first year without any charge to the parents. Any money you have going towards the first instrument will be directly applied to your child's second choice. If, however, the child decides he or she is not interested in continuing with instrument, you may return the instrument at any time during the trial period or after that, by simply bringing it back to the store,mailing the instrument back to us, or if we service your area, notifying us of your intentions, and leaving it in the main office of the school your child attends so a Shearer's Representative can pick it up.
Finally, all N.E.M.C. name brand instruments carry an N.E.M.C. warranty against manufacturer defect as long as the instrument is being leased. This provides the customer with an additional two to three and a half year warranty over the manufacturer's standard one year guarantee. In addition to this, N.E.M.C. instruments receive free service as long as the instrument is being leased. If a problem arises and cannot be taken care of within a few minutes, Shearer's Music will, if possible, provide an instrument for the child to use while theirs is in the shop. Repairs usually take no longer than two weeks.
| Please Note: Due to the variety of leasing programs available, each N.E.M.C. affiliate has a different program so that he is competitive within his jurisdiction. Therefore, the program offered at Shearer's Music Center, due to their contractual agreement with N.E.M.C., is not available through the Internet to customers in Venango County. If they choose to do so, customers living in this area are welcome to lease from Shearer's N.E.M.C. Rental Program, by coming directly to the store. |
